thought i'd post up about a battle that i'm about to start. when i did my b16 swap into my 89 i ordered an iceman intake from inlinefour.com (they suck) that was supposed to be made specifically for the b16 in a 89 civic/crx. it didn't fit. i had to use it as a short ram, and it still doesn't fit right. it has taken me awhile to get an answer back from inlinefour, and that answer is to go after iceman (the guy at inlinefour convinced me to buy an iceman rather than an aem for the reason that it was supposed to be a direct fit. i'll let you guy know what happens.

i talked with an engineer at ICEMAN/Knight Engineering last night. that guy was so nice..best customer service i've gotten thus far..and it was from an engineer! i'm going to speak with the engineer who designed the 89 civic/crx b16 transplant and tell him my woes. i'll post up what happens.

Sorry I didnt see this earlier! I had a iceman on my ZC setup. The cold air portion of it would not fit in the hole through the engine, the iceman pipe was to big. I actually had to take a dremel and shave the hole out to make it bigger, then painted it with touchup paint. It was a real bitch and the cold air portion of it got scuffed up frown

yeah, i can't use the extra arm of the CAI cuz of two things..A. THE BATTERY IS IN THE WAY and B. there is no way the piping is going to fit in the hole where the resinator box is. just to make it drivable i had to just use the short ram and move the battery forward and toward the distributor about 2 inches and the piping still rests against the battery terminal. i can't wait to talk to the engineer guy.
